My Weekend
My Weekend was fun and tiring. On Saturday I went to a chess tournament and I had a good time there. I didn't do too well because I didn't practice enough. Oh well, I'll do better next time. After that, I went to work at Superfresh. Sunday I went to work all day, when I got home I went straight to bed.

Reflection on two slideshows
Hello, my name is Avery. I'm a 12th grade student at HOPE charter school. Today I want to discuss two of my slideshows today, one of them are in the making. I want to discuss the images I choose for my two slideshows. on my "On Children" slide, I use black and white image. It was alittle difficult trying to find the right kind of images in black and white. If only there were a specific site for Black and white images. The kind of picture I use are mostly African American people. Reason why is that since it's a black poem, why not use black people?
So I made the background of every slide black just to match with the black and white pictures. To be honest with you, I didn't enjoy doing this at all because I'm not into poems and I dislike doing picture slides, I don't find it fun to do nor I don't really care if it's messed up or not. I just do it just to do it.
The Second slidshow I did was the MLK slide. It was more of a contribute to the great man himself. I didn't do much work on this slideshow because it was only 3 slides. I choosed a simple Black and white picture of King jr. for the front cover and have a brown background for it and other slide. I only used one image so I didn't have the hassle to go find images. In the second slide, I typed up what Martin Luther King Jr. would say about education of today. And the last slide was jusr a simple Bio of him. This slide I enjoyed alittle, manly because it was simple and I put my effort into it. This my favorite slide.

NEW YORK!!!!
If I could visit two cities in New York, I would visit Buffalo and New York City. I want to visit New York because my friends live there currently. I haven't seen them in awhile so it would be nice to visit them. I would also want to check out this Coney Island I've heard people talk about.I want to check out places like Time Square, a bunch of resturants, a few plays, and maybe some concerts over there. My friend Richard who lives around there hopefully would show me some arcade places around there!
I want to Visit Buffalo because my teacher told me it a nice place. It's close up near Canada and Lake Erie. If the were some nice resturants over there I would check it out.

Mandatory Back-To-Scool Meeting
I didn't make it to the mandatory back-to-school meeting but my Dad did. My dad only told me stuff that I needed to here such as my senior project. If I don't finish the senior project, I won't graduate. I can't tell whether or not the meeting was benefical because I wasn't there but I believe it would be if I were there.
